Ana Helena studied at the University of Campinas, in Sao Paulo, with Antonio Lauro del Claro; at the Music Academy of Basel with Ivan Monighetti, with Walter Levin and Hatto Beyerle; and at the Music School of Lucerne with Marek Jerie.

Ana Helena won many prizes in various musical competitions and was a soloist with the Orchestra of Brazil.

She plays in the Basel Sinfonietta, in the Zurich Consortium Musicum, also with the Chamber Philharmonic of the Grisons, and with the Salzburg Chamber Soloists.
